Lisbeth Rasmussen and Joe Tedrow started Split Acre Farm in 2017 at the Breeze Farm Incubator in Hurdle Mills. In 2018 they moved to their new land in Rougemont, NC where they grow vegetables year round, specialty cut flowers, and pasture raised broilers on ten acres. In addition to their annual vegetables and flowers, they also have blue berries and asparagus as well as other perennial flowers.

Growing Practices - Split Acre farm does not use any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides. We incorporate cover crops and crop rotation into our production in order to maintain healthy soil. Our chickens are raised on pasture and enjoy foraging on grass and insects while also being fed locally sourced grains.
