What to Look Forward to at the Market this Main Season

Spring is all around us and CFM’s main season is just around the corner! Our Main Season, which runs from April to November, includes longer hours, mid-week markets, and our signature special events. Read this blog post to learn a little more about all that you can look forward to during Carrboro Farmers’ Market’s 47th season!
Hours Change!
The spring means longer days and warmer weather, which means it’s time for earlier Saturday markets and Wednesday markets. Starting Saturday, April 4th, join us at Carrboro Town Commons every Saturday, rain or shine, 7 AM to 12 PM for lots of locally-grown goodness. Come early if you want to beat the crowds (and the heat) and hang out till noon for live music and to spend time with the Carrboro community.
Wednesday Markets and Market Bunch Kids Activities!
The Wednesday Market starts back up on April 1st, 3-6pm (no April Fools jokes here!), and continues through November. The mid-week market is a great time to restock on fresh, local foods, gather with neighbors, and bring the whole family for interactive kids activities! Market Bunch programming engages kids with local food systems, agriculture, and sustainable living through hands-on activities, plus the opportunity to win prizes like $5 Bunch Bucks to purchase fruits and veggies at the Market!
Special Events!
We have at least one signature special event every month through the Main Season to highlight seasonal products at the Market. Each event has its own flavor, but you can expect farm-fresh samples, raffle prizes, craft activities, special merch, and more! Add the 2026 Special Events Schedule to your calendar:

Volunteer Opportunities!
Would you like to play a hands-on part in running the market and making our special events happen? Join us as a volunteer! Here are a few volunteer opportunities at the Market:
Help out at the Information Table. Every Market day, we welcome volunteers at the Information Tent. Volunteers can expect to help with things like surveys, customer counts, selling merchandise, SNAP/EBT transactions, and other tasks to run operations at the tent.
Help with Market Bunch Kids Activities on Wednesdays. Volunteers are invaluable at Market Bunch! Volunteering for Market Bunch involves helping set up activities, interacting with kids participating in activities, and helping break down activities.
Help at our special events. Our events need a lot of extra hands to run smoothly! Volunteers help prepare and distribute samples, assist with craft activities, and more!
