Tomatoes at MarketTOMATO DAY IS NEXT WEEK: SATURDAY, JULY 26TH!

Tour the Market, learn about over 50 varieties of tomatoes, and bring home your favorite tomatoes to try at home! Recipes provided in the gazebo!

Next Saturday,
we will be changing things up a bit with our annual tomato event. Since we now have over 50 varieties of tomatoes with specialty varieties such as Kellogg’s Breakfast, Cherokee Chocolate, Black Truffle, OX Heart, Green Zebras, and many more, we wanted to find a way for all our customers to learn about all the available varieties throughout the entire morning! As a result, this year we will be hosting our first official “Tour de Tomato!”

What to Expect: As you enter in the gazebo, you’ll see a display of over 50 varieties of local tomatoes all grown by our farmers at Market. Next to each tomato, we will provide a detailed description about its characteristics (ranging from acidic, to sweet, earthy, firm, juicy, etc). Multiple recipes will be provided for you to help assist you as you create your perfect tomato medley shopping list. We will also have maps of all of our farmers and the varieties they sell, so that you can take your very own Tour de Tomato around the Market! Don’t be shy – please ask questions. We have volunteers on hand to help assist you in locating some of our farmers and learning more about the various tomatoes.
