A potter for 45 years, Eddie has two degrees in ceramics from East Carolina University. He also spent several summers at Penland School of Crafts in the sixties, which he claims is "the best craft school on the planet!" He received his first hint towards a vocation while growing up in Bethabara, NC, where he learned about the Moravian potters Gottfried Aust and Rudolf Christ. Although Eddie has stopped pulling his porcelain to the market in a wagon, his Saturday commute takes all of 45 seconds.
