People: Stanley Hughes
Stanley farms the land he grew up on, the same land his grandfather bought in 1912. He has been farming since around 1974, and has been coming to the Carrboro market for since 2003. In 2004, Pine Knot Farm won the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service’s Small Farm of the Year award. Along with many other farms at the market, Pine Knot Farms accepts WIC coupons.
